The region around Castello di Villa offers a wide choice of possible excursions, either in your own car or with a driver in the hotel's minibus. Thanks to its wonderful location amid the vineyards, the hotel is also the perfect starting point for some lovely walks or interesting cycle tours (bikes can be hired for free at the hotel).

Something for everyone

Whether you want to explore the countless wineries or visit the many little villages such as Barolo or Barbaresco – the names of which alone are enough to make any wine lover's heart beat faster – there's something to suit all tastes.

A trip to the Ligurian Sea, easily reached in just an hour's drive, is highly recommended, as are visits to historic towns such as Asti, Nizza Montferrat and Alba, all inviting places for strolling about and relaxing.

Another interesting town is "Acqui Terme" in the province of Alessandria, famous for its hot, sulphurous thermal springs, where you can enjoy being warm and wet on rainy days.

The metropolis of Turin, the administrative capital of the province of Turin and the region of Piedmont, is just 60 km away and surprises visitors with its lovely architecture, many small cafes and restaurants, an arcaded shopping street, countless fascinating museums and some pretty parks to while away some time in.

Devotees of golf will love it here too. Within a radius of just 40 km, there are three beautifully located golf courses where you can enjoy a game in a wonderful setting.

Meanwhile, those who prefer "dolce far niente…", just doing nothing, on their holidays can really switch off in our "piccolo paradiso".
